Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Thailand

Hey friends,

I am up for my second travel tips. I am currently promising myself to blog about at least one travel tips and sharing in a week or two.

Sorry if its a bit late. So here are some tips on my travels to Phi Phi Island and Krabi Island last year.

Travel mode; Malindo Air (PEN-KBV) return for only RM200. Check Malindo Air for constant cheap flights. Its always even cheaper if you are flying from Kuala Lumpur (KUL)

KRABI

What you need

  • Rain coat, Umbrella (unfortunately is was raining all through my 3 days in Thailand)
  • Good pair of flip flops/ sandals
  • Big appetite (The food is so so good)
  • Nice pair of short pants and tank top
  • Camera and a big open heart and mind

What to do

  • Stay in Pak Up hostel in Krabi town, its a whole different experience than Ao Nang beach and this hostel made the town (RM 50/ 500TBH per night). Its worth the money!
  • Spend time at the Krabi Coffee Shack just next door to Pak Up. Their coffee and tea is awesome. Very funky as well
  • Get a Thai massage. For only RM25/ 250TBH
  • Party at Pak Up rooftop bar and Playground bar. Music is awesome. Atmosphere is cool.
  • Buy anklets, but beware of the "charm" ones, whereby they might be Thai prayers on it.
Basically, I didn't get to spend so much time around Krabi because of the weather. But Pak Up made my trip as its so convenient and complete for just relaxing, partying or hanging out!

Koh Phi Phi

How to get there;

  • Take the ferry from Krabi jetty to Koh Phi Phi, it runs from 0900am-0430pm
  • Takes up to 2 hours to get to Phi Phi

What you need;
  • Sunscreen
  • Nice and functional bikini/ swim wear
  • Slippers
  • Light clothes, easy fold and dry (as its very sandy every where, even in the hostel)
  • Big appetite as well :)
  • A good book (for reading on the ferry, if you are travelling alone)
  • Camera with a big heart and mind :)

What to do;

  • I stayed in Stones Bar and Dorm. Pretty cool place run by a British owner.Very sandy room though but nice
  • Party by the beach and watch the fire show
  • Get a bamboo tattoo. (It hurts less than normal tattoo) I got one!
  • Go to Phi Phi Bakery, their breakfast is AWESOME
  • Walk around Phi Phi town. It has amazing cool shops
  • Do cliff jumping (I wasn't able to because of the rain storm)
  • Go to Maya beach (James Bond Island )
  • Have a manicure and pedicure ( especially when it rains ), only RM30/300TBH for both mani and pedi
  • Take awesome pictures of the beach and its long tail boat on it

So be it rain or shine, there is always something to do in Krabi and Phi Phi.

I hope this blog entry helps and I hope you add Krabi and Phi Phi on to your travel list this year! I am definitely going back! Enjoy!!!

Roma, Italy

Hey bloggers,

Here are some really late post on my recent trip to Rome, Italy. #summer2014

I had so much fun. A week is definitely not enough. I would really suggest Rome as your next travel destination. Its beautiful, but be prepared for extreme hot weather during summer. So here are list of things to have when in Rome:

  • Be sure to have at least 2 mini size bottles of sunscreen
  • UV protected sunglasses.
  • Loose tops and shorts
  • Loose long pants (cooling and suitable for entering into churches)
  • Scarf to cover up sleeveless top to enter churches
  • Good pair of shoes/ sandal (I suggest Skechers "Go Walk" shoes )
  • Perfume/ Body mist. (Really helpful after a hot sweaty day)
  • Wet tissues and tissues
  • A reliable water bottle (as there are water fountains for you to fill up your bottle anytime)

For travelling, I suggest;

  • Take the metro train, for only 16Euros that could last you up to 3 days. Not sure if its still the same price now, last time was summer 2014
  • Get the map of Rome and start walking (that way, you explore more about the city)
  • Eat the gelato opposite Vatican City, you cant miss it because the line are long enough to notice
  • Take pictures of  Vatican city, day and night
  • SHOP everything is so cheap when its SALE in Rome!!
  • Of course, eat the pasta and pizza! (I suggest Carbonara no cheese for lactose intolerant like me)
I hope these little tips help. Now here goes some pictures;

The 4 Words

The 4 words we all know.

L.o.v,e

I am sorry if I have bored you enough with all my love posts. At this point I think of it myself, why do I always write about love, heartbreak and everything and nothing other than that.

My answer is that I have not found the right kind of love that I need yet. I'd like to think as of now I have experience the most part about love. Love of family, friends, strangers, lovers, and of course God's love.

I pray to know what my calling is, at one point from the previous posts, I said I might have just found the love of my life. That experience made me realize that true love also meant sacrifice. The sacrifice of letting go and let the other person just leave and forgets about you, because that is the best you could do for them.

I used to love all the attention I get from the opposite sex, I love all the affections I get. I used to wonder what was it like to have a relationship and I did experienced it. I get the kind of guys that I am attracted to but somehow now it feels different. If I am still who I am months ago, I would have just go with it. Talk to the guy and experience the whole relationship thing again.

Somehow after what had happened last January, I realize I am no longer looking for those kind of relationship, where it doesn't last, where everything was just a passing by stage. I am no longer looking for affection, attention and flirtation. I am looking for something worth more.

I am no longer searching for the "what if?" and I am no longer looking for 'electric' and 'butterflies'. I would go for the one that could make me smile and kind. No more bad boys. Just the kind that respects and never hurt my feelings. Mostly I am looking for happiness by being just all by myself.

I cannot promise any beautiful moment being alone, but I am enjoying my own company now. Very much. I just want to be happy, be kind, be humble and be my own kind of beautiful and then everything will fall to its place. If 'he' ever existed then maybe 'he' will find me and just love me for me.

So my lovely women/girl readers, don't go searching for him. Just let love come to you. Not now, not any time soon. But when it comes and it is the right one, it will stay.

Travel, see the world, experience from the people and just be a better person.

As of now, I pray that he who meant so much to me last January that he would be happy as well.

I am catching my breath and soaking up the night.

A toss of green tea to all the broken hearted girls and all who have lost what they use to think was once everything.

Just remember and tell yourself like I do" Close my eyes and smile. Its the best thing I could do now. Because I have love and be loved."

Saying Goodbye

I guess it is normal to say goodbye to people whom you just met or knew. But it is definitely harder to say goodbye when it comes to close friends and really good time.

Tears fall this semester not for a guy and definitely not for falling in love, but for a good friend that I have made. A friend for life. Reading her blog this morning because I had nothing better to do as the cleaner cleans the house, made me realize how much I missed her and how I wish I had more time spent with her. I miss you so much Rebecka

I felt the lost so much since the day she sent me off to the cab as I took my flight back home here in Borneo. Up until today, I feel like I left my heart at Sunny Ville, with the Sunny Ville family. I couldn't believe all the things I have done this semester with every single one of them. How much I loved them and how much they meant to me. As a saying goes, you never knew how much it meant to you until you lose it.

I guess I never really lose anyone, just missed everyone so badly. I hope my next Europe trip wouldn't be to far off now. I will see them again soon. Travel the world and maybe meet them half way.

Thank you for every moment spent and I still couldn't believe you guys have left. Because in my head, every single memory is still fresh and feels like it's only yesterday that I partied, dance, eat, hang out, shop, sleep over and had so much fun with all of you.
