The Script Concert Live In Kuala Lumpur

Hello my beautiful readers,

Unfortunately this post isn't a specific travel tips post to another country, but a few tips about "How to survive a concert" and also getting by in Kuala Lumpur.

Lets then start from the basics;

If you are travelling from anywhere around Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur, do check out Malindo Air for very cheap flight tickets. Mine was for only RM76.90 return (plus GST)

Where to stay; Around Bukit Bintang or Jalan Alor. (the heart of the city) I am lucky to have my best friend and crash at her place instead.

Transportation and getting by:

  • Take the KTM/LRT from Bukit Bintang or KL Sentral.
  • Walk if you are staying in KL itself. You see more when walking and nothing is too far away.
  • Download MyTeksi app on your phone if you are heading out of the city or into the city if you are not staying in KL. (MyTeksi is more reliable as is goes by meter and not bargain/fixed price)

What to do;

  • Sight-seeing in Kuala Lumpur is fun. Take pictures of beautiful streets around KL and KLCC (Twin Tower) for the iconic must have pictures.
  • Eat - If you are into fancy restaurant, I suggest Jogoya in Starhill Gallery, they are pricey but serves the best Japanese buffet. -If you fancy cakes, try out Ben's at Suria KLCC (shopping mall). Their English tea set for two is worth the money. Only RM60nett (no GST charged) and you get to pick one cake of your choice
  • Shop. You MUST shop in Kuala Lumpur. If you are on tight budget, head down to Berjaya Times Square for cheap and bargain price clothings ( beware that most of their clothes are free size, meaning asian petite size) If you are NOT on a tight budget and wants to splurge head to Pavilion/ KLCC for designer wear or retail ( eg. Forever 21/ H&M) stuff
  • Embrace the business while sitting in Starbucks with coffee? (I did)
  • Watch a movie. At least once
  • If you are a book worm, head to KINOKUNIYA in KLCC. Big book store and lots to catch up on

That's if you are just travelling in KL.

Now for the concert;
How to get to venue: MyTeksi. (Best way as The Script was in Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam *out of Kuala Lumpur city)

What you need/ need to do;
  • Umbrella and raincoat (Rain or shine you need them if you are heading out 2/1 hour before doors open)
  • Atleast RM250 (Merchandise are expensive and you need it for drinks sold outside of stadium and your cab ride back)
  • Power bank ( to charge your dying phone due to recording every single song)
  • Comfy shoes/ sandals (as you will be standing up/ jumping/ dancing/ etc for a very long time)
  • DO NOT bring water bottle as most of the time it is not allowed for you to bring in the stadium/concert hall (if its a indoor concert)
  • Enough sleep and eat before you start waiting for doors to open

  • Try not to stand at the back of someone taller than you. Find your 'spot'.
  • If you failed to find your 'spot', its okay to go at the back for a better view and space (if you are lucky to be able to move about once the crowd comes in)
  • When buying merchandise, look around first before buying as some stalls sells at a cheaper price.
  • Have fun and sing your heart out!

    So those are the few tips about Kuala Lumpur and how to survive a concert. I hope it helps.

    Have fun and be brave!
